HISTORY
Dona Castle a boutique hotel built within a historic castle from 1745. The citadel was among the only buildings preserved in its entirety and still forms part of the wall that surrounded the old city. In the past, the citadel hosted honorable guests and the halls of the knights preserved on the lower floor of the fort.

Our Story
The castle is located at Dona Gracias Street parallel to the main street, built of basalt stones that are characteristic of the area, because the construction was of a phalanx, they incorporated stones brought from the entire area into the wall stones. A fifth above the double barred window that was brought from the ruins of a synagogue and beside it a stone on which an ancient Roman element is inscribed as well as pillars used to support the roofs of buildings.
